What is a Christian for Kids

Carolyn Nystrom’s book for young children, What is a Christian? poses some important questions. “How do they belong to Christ and He to them? Why are they called Christians when they receive Jesus into their hearts?”

This carefully worded and beautifully illustrated book offers simple but direct answers. Your children will learn what forgiveness and being a Christian really mean.

Each paragraph indicates the exact Scripture reference used for the explanation:

One day, I saw a boy roller skating. He tripped and skinned his knees. Then he sat on the sidewalk and cried. I didn’t know who he was, but I asked where he lived and helped him home. Jesus would have done that too. (Philippians 2:3-11)

This book is one of eight in the series. The final paragraph suggests a prayer and steps on how to become a Christian and belong to Jesus forever. A perfect ending!
