Get Out of That Pit

Get Out

Beth Moore needs no introduction. If you are Christian, a Bible study participant, or a conference attender, you know this writer and teacher. A fairly recent book of hers, Get Out of That Pit, is her “straight talk about God’s deliverance.”

Just from the chapter titles, we know she is not fooling around: “When You’re Thrown Into a Pit,” “When You Slip Into a Pit,” “When You Jump Into a Pit.” We get the idea. And then comes the best solution, “The Three Steps Out of Your Pit.”

When I first introduced the three steps to you…I told you that each of them involved your mouth. The ironic part of the process will be that you will most likely use your mouth before you use your faith. Here’s why: for most of us who have failed over and over, our faith nearly disintegrated because somewhere along the way we confused faith in God with faith in ourselves.

You know Beth Moore. She’s honest and to the point. She doesn’t beat around the bush. She’s passionate about her and our relationship with God and that is what drives her to lead us straight to Him. She has a way of helping us past all the “garbage” in our lives. She’s on our side. And for all these reasons, this book is worth the time to read as soon as possible.

Pick it up in the Solid Rock Library before that Pit swallows you whole!
